CECS-174: Saving your work before you logout

When you have completed working with the local copies of your files, you must transfer them to your account in the network drive to retain all changes permanently. This page lists the steps you need to copy the local copy your CECS174 folder to the network drive.

Copy the CECS174 folder from the local drive

  1. Use Windows Explorer to browse the folder in the C:\ drive with your documents. In my case, this is called monge's Documents.
  2. Select the MyProjects folder
  3. Right-click on the folder MyProjects and choose Copy from the popup menu. This figure summarizes this step:

Great job!

You now have now logout safely, your work has been saved in your CECS account and can be accessed from other computers in the lab and remotely as well. You may go back to the guide on getting started in the CECS Labs. This link should take you back.
