The AAAI/SIGART Doctoral Consortium (DC) provides an opportunity for a group of Ph.D. students to present their research and explore their career objectives with a panel of established researchers in artificial intelligence. The goals of the consortium are:
The DC is designed primarily for students who are at or near the point of submitting their dissertation proposals, with one or two years remaining before completion of the Ph.D. You may refer to the Call For Applications or visit the Doctoral Consortium application submission site for additional information. Note: please use the standard AAAI two-column format when submitting your thesis summary.
All student presenters will also participate in an evening poster session, where they can obtain feedback from all conference attendees.
All registered AAAI-08 attendees are welcome to attend the Doctoral Consortium. (Students are particularly encouraged to do so).

Update 4/13/2008 Thank you to all of the applicants, we had a record number of submissions this year. All applicants should have been contacted. If you were not selected this year, we encourage you to attend the DC as an audience member. If you have been selected, please stay tuned for email updates. Also, it is imperative that you contact the organizers if you will not be able to attend.
